Some updates and news

Hello everyone, I'm sorry that the cbox is now gone, but it's not coming back as we have no need for it. Please join us on IRC / Forum. IRC is probably less convenient to those who aren't used to it, but all internet veterans use IRC and it's not going anywhere soon.

Because the cb is gone, I put a new ad on the right hand side to help us with our server cost. Yes we do have server cost, and they are in fact pretty high. Just a summary: we used to have 2 fileservers costing $600, and 1 webserver costing $175 monthly. In a good month, I get $600 in donation that pays for the fileservers, so I've always paid the rest myself, and it ranges from $200 to $400 each month.

I could always handle $200/month, but lately it's getting a bit harsh on me, so the ads are here to help me with the cost (which is cut back to $615 total right now). There is 1 pop up that is being used very sparingly at once every 10 minutes. I find that the average time spent per visit on this site is 8 minutes, so that should not be such a nuisance to everyone. Additionally, you should know that donators will not see pop-ups, right hand side ad.

Sometimes you see ads that probably aren't very appropriate on the right hand side (jelly butts?), but it's no where near porn material. This site itself contains manga scans that are for mature readers anyway, so such image should not concern you that much. If you really don't want to see them, considering donating at least $5 to the site, because the ads won't be shown to donators. Remember, you only need a ONE-TIME donation to the site, we do not need you to make a subscription. This goes to show how lenient we are with premium status and how much we appreciates donation support.
